The Hours! Yesterday, I watched an American Film - ‘The Hours’!! -(2002)
Here are Few of my readings…
Oh Gosh! Carrying forward Virginia Woolf’s Stream Of Consciousness… A Journey inside a woman’s consciousness..., intermingling of complex plots, three female protagonists connected by the same thread of ‘longing for belongingness’ & this realization of the lack of belonging - finally resulting into abandoning the ‘Life’! Over Powring Loneliness.. Obsession for the Perfection & much more... Resulting into Death! The Hours generates tremendous amount of disturbance in your mind! The way film plays with The Element of Time is unbelievably remarkable! The greatest virtue of the film I could along with my friends feel is – It speaks language of its own medium! The Language of Cinema & Only of Cinema! It exploits very subtly the full potential of The Cinematic Language in a highest possible way & thus remains far far away from all the possible influences of the ‘Other Form of Art’ which is otherwise predominantly influential in the process of Film-Making! I realize that I will need to re-experience The Hours in order to feel the Core of The Intensity & Complexity the film evokes in a viewer’s mind & Keeps on haunting you for long ‘Hours’… ‘The Hours’ is truly Demanding of A Viewer in every respect! ****************************************************************************************************** |
